Diddy Kong Pilot is a canceled game for Game Boy Advance. After Rare was sold to Microsoft in 2002, the game was revamped to include Banjo-Kazooie characters and eventually became Banjo-Pilot.
Facts and Speculation
- It was meant to be a Kong-only game. It was also meant to introduce some new Kongs.
- It was quite far along in development before being revamped.
- It may have originally been intended to be a sequel to Diddy Kong Racing (The cancelled Donkey Kong Racing for Gamecube is another likely candidate).
- It originally had an optional tilt-sensing feature.
- From the screen shot on the right, the playable characters were (left to right): Cranky Kong, a new kong referred to by fans as "Bumpkin Kong", Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Krunch, King K. Rool, and Dixie Kong. It is unknown if any more characters would have possibly been included, as unlockables or otherwise.
