Donkey Kong Racing, like Diddy Kong Pilot, is a cancelled racing game featuring Donkey Kong characters. It was first unveiled at Spaceworld 2001, and may have been quite far along in development before being cancelled.
The reason for its cancellation, as with DKP, is because of the Rare move to Microsoft in 2002. Other than what has been seen in screen shots, not much is known.
Facts and Speculation
- May have been planned to be Diddy Kong Racing's sequel.
- Taj was supposed to be a part of this game.
- Instead of riding karts, ala Diddy Kong Racing, you were to ride the Animal Buddies from the Donkey Kong Country series.
