Enguarde the Swordfish is a recurring Animal Buddy in the Donkey Kong series.

Biography

Originating from Donkey Kong Country, Enguarde is one of the many Animal Buddies that the Kongs can ride on. Enguarde, by name, is a swordfish, appearing in most underwater levels. He can jab forward with his sword-like bill, and can swim faster than the Kongs. His name is a pun on the phrase "En Garde". Enguarde also has the most playable appearances in the Donkey Kong Country games of all of the Animal Buddies.
