Biography
Jamjars is the brother of Bottles the Mole, also making him uncle to Goggles and Speccy. Jamjars is an army veteran and as such treats Banjo and Kazooie as if they're in boot camp (referring to them almost exclusively as "punks.")
In the Games
Banjo-Tooie
Jamjars first appears in Banjo-Tooie. After the death of his brother, he takes over the role of move tutor. All his moves are sung by him to a generic army tune.
He also appears as a playable character in various multiplayer modes.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Although Rare initially stated that Jamjars would not be in the game, he is indeed in the game, as "DJ Jamjars," a radio DJ on Spiral Mountain FM. In the game's introduction, he once again calls Banjo and Kazooie "punks," reminds them that it has been ten years since their first game, and says they've gotten "all fat and washed up." A billboard advertising Uranus in Terrarium of Terror also states that Jamjars DJs there as well.
Trivia
- In Banjo-Tooie, Jamjars has a hidden animation that will happen at random after he teaches a move. When he hops back in his silo, there is a chance it will close before he gets inside, causing him to crash into it and moan painfully, knocking his hat off him. He will climb slowly back in and then reach back out to grab his fallen hat.
- In Banjo-Kazooie, Kazooie sometimes refered to Bottles as (among many other titles) Jamjars, supposedly before the name was used for a separate character.
