Jungle Japes

Jungle Japes is the first world in the 1999 game Donkey Kong 64. The world is a generic Jungle level, complete with a lake and a system of caves and mines. This level also features the recurring Beaver enemy from the Donkey Kong series, Gnawty. Diddy Kong is first unlocked in this world.

Landmarks

Termite Hill: A large Termite mound sits atop Jungle Japes, allowing Diddy Kong to access a system of mines deep below the Jungle.

The Caves: Interwoven into the Jungle is a system of caves that help to break the monotonous Jungle theme, various puzzles and enemies are found within these caves, ultimately leading to other parts of the Jungle.
