Kameo: Elements of Power was intended to be a Nintendo GameCube title, but it was canceled because of the Rare buyout by Microsoft. It was then ported to the Xbox, and finally to the Xbox 360.

Several hops from consoles delayed the game greatly, but eventually it was released as one of the several launch titles for the Xbox 360

Protagonist

Kameo - The hero of the story who is working to save her Ancestors - Halis, Lenya, and Yeros - as well as her mother, Queen Theena, whilst simultaneously thwarting the Troll threat and overthrowing Thorn.

Elemental Warriors

Pummelweed - A Plant Warrior with extensive melee capabilities, and the ability to submerge itself underground temporarily to access certain areas.
Snare - A Plant Warrior which can root intself in the ground for stationary combat, and is able to bite enemies with its large jaws.
Rubble - An Earth Warrior comprised of a pile of living rocks that can be shot in various directions, damaging enemies.
Major Ruin - An Earth Warrior modelled after an armadillo, with the ability to charge up rolling attacks to bowl over enemies or shoot over gaps.
Flex - A Water Warrior with the ability to skate on the surface of water, and damage enemies with a barrage of slaps from its tentacles.
Deep Blue - A Water Warrior that can move about freely when submerged in bodies of water, whilst using its arm cannons to fire torpedoes when underwater and streams of water whilst on land.
Chilla - An Ice Warrior who can climb up slippery ice walls and pick up trolls, slamming them on the spikes on his back. He can also aim and throw these trolls or, alternatively, frozen icicles.
40 Below - An Ice Warrior who can freeze enemies with his ice cold breath, as well as summon snowballs to bowl over enemies or slam into them during a spinning frenzy.
Ash - A Fire Warrior modelled after a dragon that can shoot streams of fire from its mouth, as well as shooting large fireballs at its targets.
Thermite - A Fire Warrior that holds a mass of molten lava on its back which can be fired out in the form of exploding bombs to damage enemies.

NPCs

Ortho - The wizard enchanted into the Wotnot Book who offers advice to Kameo during her adventures.
Halis - The bold and adventurous ancestor of Kameo who was help captive by Old Mawood of the Forest Temple.
Lenya - The boisterous yet caring ancestor of Kameo who was held captive by Corallis of the Water Temple.
Yeros - The wise and old ancestor of Kameo who was held captive by Queen Thyra in the Snow Temple.
Queen Theena - Mother to Kameo and Kalus who has been captured by Thorn and trapped in his castle.
King Solon - The King of the Enchanted Kingdom who mysteriously disappeared after vanquishing Thorn in the past.
Farron - A mysterious warrior aiding the anti-troll war effort in the Badlands.
Warrior Trainer - A wise and unique-looking individual who trains Elfin warriors for combat against the trolls.
The Mystic - A lizard-like woman with magical powers, allowing her to contact Kameo at various points in her adventure with her crystal eye.
Kalus - Sister to Kameo who bitterly betrayed their family, causing the ancestors to be captured.
Thorn - The bloodthirsty troll who rose through the ranks to be their self-proclaimed King, and has waged war upon the Enchanted Kingdom.
