Perfect Dark is the is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Rare, released on the Nintendo 64 in the year 2000. It is a sequel-in-spirit to their hit N64 title GoldenEye 007. The game play is very similar to that featured in GoldenEye - and the game itself has been developed on an enhanced version of their GoldenEye 007 engine. However, despite its overall improvements upon GoldenEye, such as its inclusion of a secondary firing function in most weapons, tactical options such as the ability to disarm your enemy, a two-player co-operative mode and CPU-controlled multi-player "bots" - Perfect Dark didn't sell quite as well as its older brother. While the Expansion Pak wasn't required the play the game - many of the game's features were absolutely dependant on the additional RAM offered by the Pak in order to function.
In Perfect Dark, you play as Joanna Dark, an operative of the Carrington Institute - initially sent on a mission to infiltrate the dataDyne Corporation's headquarters to rescue the scientist Dr. Carroll.

According to Trevor; "All the editors for GoldenEye were also made for Perfect Dark by SubDrag and Ice Mario." Finally, the suspicions that Rare employees are in fact robots has been confirmed.
